CCA have released their latest version (4.0) of Accounting Spreadsheets, incorporating some changes to make compliance with the new Financial Reporting Standards coming into force for registered Charities easier. The spreadsheets were originally developed to provide a robust way of tracking grant expenditure directly from a cashbook. It still does this better (we believe) than any commercially available accounting software. The Financial Statements generated by Accounting 4.0 have been updated to incorporate the new requirements, including a Statement of Cash Flows. A new spreadsheet called The Minimalist has also been released today with as yet only a GST-free version. This is a cashbook incorporating the minimum information and categories required by the ‘Tier 4’ Financial Reporting standard. It can be downloaded here.
